I picked up a little internet cam a while back, the first time I used it I posted a vid in the members vids section, well I had to unplug everything and move my computer and since it has been hooked back up I am having a problem. If I just do an audio recording everything sounds fine, but if I try and to a audio/video recording the sound cuts in and out, and slows why down and speeds up (not staying in pitch) The only thing that I might have different is which USB port it is plugged in to. DOes anybody have any ideas as too what has happened and what I need to do to fix it?? thanks

Ok let me play tech support hotline here.First imagine a poor phone connection and someone with an impenetrable accent on the other end.Ok check all of your connections all good huh.Ok try plugging it back into the same USB port.Still doesn't work. Please hhold while I connect you with someone who might have a clue.Sorry but the only advice I have is to try it on the same usb port that you know that it worked on just to remove a variable. If that doesn't work try googling the problem you might get lucky.

thanks Robc, the reason I said "might be different" is becasue I can't remember which one it was plugged into the first time. I didn't think that it would make a differace... THeres only about 6 differentones to try, I was hoping to save some time. Might have to go through them then

are you using the mic on the cam or a different mic plugged in? Sometimes I forget to tell my video software to use my separate mic rather than the cam one since my cam mic doesn't really pic up well. Also, you may have defaulted back to a higher resolution than you had before. Try lowering the resolution on the video and see if that helps out.

The reason I mentioned plugging it into the same port is bcause I have 4 USB ports on my laptop but for some reason my USB receiver for my mouse won't work in 2 of the ports but everything else I have tried works fine in them some sort of silly problem I am sure but I am to lazy to figure it out.I was just thinking it might be the same sort of thing but I have been wrong before.
