Just wanted to say I bought the two sets of 3 dvd's being offered (for the premium member price). First of all, turnaround time was very quick (less than a week). So far I have watched Last Kiss, Have You Ever Seen The Rain?, and Santeria (in that order). Some things were a little slow for me because I'm not a beginner but I didn't have a problem with that because I can see how it will help out someone with less playing experience/knowledge. Also, I know it will help me on the other songs such as Hey Joe and More Than Words. I liked how Dave added the bassline to Have You Ever Seen The Rain? and also adding chucking to that song and variations in picking patterns to the other two. I really thought the breakdown to the solo on Santeria was EXCELLENT. I was hesitant about not having a printout of the tab but liked what I have seen so far. Also, it can be good experience learning how to transcribe. What I did was go to several tab sites to copy some of the versions into Word (so I could have the lyrics and some tab notation). Then I listened to the songs to get the lyrics correct and put the verses, choruses, etc. into the right order. Then I just put in what Dave had showed in the videos, along with any helpful notes. Now I have a copy of the songs so I don't have to go to the dvd every time I want to play it. (Sorry, I won't be posting these anywhere as I do not want to get in any copyright trouble).
Thanks

Cool, I ordered the Sweet Home Alabama DVD last week, still waiting on shipment, but it's a christmas gift anyway so it's ok if it's slow. It will be nice to have the solos explained step by step, as the techniques will help with future songs. I would have bought the 3 but I didn't want most of the songs. I would have preferred to buy SWH and Dust in the Wind and something else.

I just got my "More Than Words" DVD today. I've only made it through the first section. But, I am already pleased.

I was/am very happy with the quality and content both of the video song lessons. They are way better than the youtube lessons were............and they are complete.

I just about have the first section of More than Words down and am working on the 2nd and 3rd sections. Man, there a lot of chords and different ways to play them in this song!!! Thanks again, David. Sweet Home Alabama is next.

The DVDs look great! I'm going to try to get through the six I have over the next month, although I'll probably only get to one (if I'm lucky!) It's a slow way to learn a song, but the tips Dave gives are GREAT and just add a whole new richness that you can't possibly get from tab. If you just want to play music, tab is better, but if you want to actually become a good guitar player AND learn a well-known song too, this is the best way.
Highly recommended.
