I don't know anything about home recording

Basically I want to record the audio of the guitar so I can upload it on to the internet. But I have no idea what I am doing so what is it I should be looking for?

There is free recording software called Audacity.. I have made several tutorials on it that are posted in this forum. You'll also need a mic. Just use the cheapo desk mic to start with. Or you could get a 1/4 to 1/8 adaptor and plug your guitar straight into your mic jack on your computer if you have a pickup on your guitar.
