I need a better amp, and I have my heart set on a line 6, just to get that insane setting.
I don't play anywhere but home, so I don't need alot of watts.
would prefer a line6 3 spider, but probably can't get one cheap enough, so a line 6 2 will do.
hoping to get one under $100, really as cheaply as possible.
anyone have an extra one laying around gathering dust?
I can throw in some cash, and an ibanez ts7 tubescreamer pedal to boot.
thanks.

For 100 bucks you can get a brand new Line 6 Spider 3 that's 15 watts. It's small but it has many of the same settings on the bigger models.

thanks!

If you just play at home a 15 watt amp will be plenty loud. I have a little 5 watt Vox DA-5 which is digital and has effects built in, and it can run off of batts or plugged in and it is way loud enough for playing around the house. I would look for a high quality low watt amp is going to sound a ton better than a cheap high wattage amp.

Having very recently tried out a Line 6 Spider 3, and a Vox VT30XL, I can certainly say the Vox was better. It might be a little more expensive, but you get a lot more for the money. The preamp tube in the Vox makes all the difference, but it's not just that. The Vox has 11 amp models, compared to Line 6's 4. You can also fully tweak all the on Vox's effects.
Oh and the Vox has amp models that go beyond the Line 6's Insane setting. Later tonight I'm writing a full review of the amp, as I liked it so much I bought it.

I had a VOx Valvetronic 30 (but not the XL) and it has some real insane type effect tones built in, the XL is supposed to be more so in the modeling end... it was a great amp, you could also turn up the vol on the amp, but turn down the output to the speaker so you could push the tubes without blowing the windows out
