Hey Guys I just wanted everyone to know my FreeBird and Smoke on the Water DVD's arrived today and I'm thrilled with both. Both songs were broken down so even a knucklehead like me could understand them.

Folks, If you haven't already, do yourself a favor and ORDER one of the DVD sets. You won't be disappointed.

Well let's go practice our string bending.

I got the Freebird and Smoke on the Water DVDs a couple of days ago. Wow. You guys rock!!!

I particularly like the overlays that summarize stuff and show the chord progressions so if I already know the chords I don't have to sit through the detailed stuff. *Very* nice touch.

As usual, the way you guys break things down in to easy-to-handle chunks is great.

Thankyou!!!!!!

Not a criticism, but is the Freebird DVD Rhythm part missing the chords for the first and second up-tempo parts in the intro? "...and this bird you cannot chaaaaaaaaaange..". Sounds like bar F-open C-open D to me.

Anyway, I've been playing along with the DVD and hear some slight differences between that and the mp3 but so far the DVD has made it really easy to get started on the rhythm parts.

Thanks again to all who had a hand in it!

Got the FB, SOTW, SHA, YRGM and La G. All arrived on the other side of the planet in perfect condition.

Haven't had time to dig in yet but skipping through I do have one little thing that stood out.

On Free Bird, the Beginner Slide lesson, she (Jennifer?) was doing some GREAT slide stuff that I'd love to learn. She whetted my appetite and BOOM!... nuthin'. Why do women always do that to me? I really would have liked it if she'd gone through a riff or two just to show how it's done.

Secondly, ... what happened. It was like at the end of the Beginner Slide Lesson she was just cut off. CHOP! I'm sure she had more to say. It just felt really, really awkward.

Lastly... Sound is s_o_u_n_d not Soud. Spell check before going to the presses guys.

You guys are still the greatest, still thinkin' good thoughts about ya but just thought you might want to tweek something in future editions as these are classics and will be selling for years to come.

Well if you're like me it's 'cuz your old as dirt, really obnoxious, and don't have any personality or money! Other than that, I have no idea.LOL

Oh well, at least I'll be wailin' on Freebird pretty soon.

Is anyone else having these issues too?

I am interested in buying, but would like to hear some resolve on this.
