You and Tim and Jennifer and Samantha may have opened a Pandora's box with the Freebird DVD.

Back in the day, everyone who even touched a guitar learned how to play the acoustic part of "Stairway to Heaven" and every time we ended up in a guitar store, we'd play the hell out of it really loud. The poor folks who worked in every guitar store in the world must have gone insane listening to that same song all day.

Maybe you've started a similar thing with "Freebird". Dude, I'm gonna get that song down and crank it every time I'm in a guitar store. So is everyone else who gets that CD. A bunch of people are probably gonna do that with "Smoke on the Water" too and the guitar store people are going to view NLG as pure evil and all of your students as your evil minions hell-bent on driving them insane.

What do you want me to tell them when they ask who the evil force is behind my baddass rendition of Freebird? I'll protect your identity if you want but they'll probably figure it out when I start blasting on "Smoke on the Water".

Hi Walt - thats true that stairway was a "music store anthem" so to speak and now its probably on the banned list from playing it in any music store.
Funny post!
