What Tony Iommi was doing there, was bending the string behind the nut. This song was made in the pre floyd days, and back then no one ever heard of a locking nut.

I have messed with this song, and came up with a way to pull it off, with a floyd, and requires the presicion use of the tremelo. Hit the open E, lift up on the bar to around f# and go from there. Oh, if your using the bar in a standard way, you would lift up on it, if you use your bar a la Steve Vai, youll wanna push down ;)

Sounded ok, but the timing being so off really through the song off.

I have a double locking trem. so a bend behind the nut isn't possible. Unless I tune down a half step and bend the string.

Just hit your low E string and if you have a Floyd Rose just lift up a little on the bar ,it gives you the same effect.

Did you tune down for the song like in the original? If you didnt I think thats why it sounded odd to me, I didnt watch the video as much as I listened. You did speed up and slow down randomly. You may want to invest in a metranome.

My next one I am going to have it in E flat. I think it sounds better in that tunning.
