View Full Version : recording soundquality problem

Hey folks :)

I've recently bought my Line 6 Pod 2.0 and I'm quite happy with it. One thing I wanted to do with it is using the Pod to record some of my playing via my computer.
But when listening to my records I've noticed them being kind of awkward.

(I made sure to use my line-in slot and I've connected the cable to the right slot on the Pod.)

What I mean is that it sounds a bit as if there was the effect "Rotary" being applied to it, which just isn't the case and also it seems a bit scratchy.
Is that due to my soundcard (Realtek onboard soundcard I believe)? If not what else could cause the problem?

I am greatly appreciating any help ;)

Thanks in advanced,

Miles

Edit:
Here's the link to the soundfile: http://www.supload.com/sound_confirm.php?get=337059841.wav
It's a short recording from my keyboard which shows the same glichtes as when recording with my guitar.

Hell I've just listened to the track posted above and there's no problem at all. It seems that when listening to the recorded part in the software (I use Sonar6, also tried Audacity) the problems occure, but after exporting have gone.

Any idea what that could be?
