Im very new at recording but I have recorded some things in the past. Im using a M Audio Fast Track USB Pro and Mixcraft. The reason I never really did much of it is because I never was able to hear my guitar while recording. The one thing I dont want to do is mic an amp. Anyway I bought some Rokit 5 monitors. This is how I connected. I ran cables from out the TRS outputs on the Fast Track into the monitors. Worked great I could hear my guitar just fine. Then I wanted to see if I could use the amp while recording. I plugged a cable into the line out on the back of my Vox ADT30 and ran that into the recording input of my Fast Track. I ran a cable from my guitar into the amp. Now this was great and it worked awesome. The sound came out of the monitors, not the amp but I could use all my amp sounds. I recorded something and it was great. Then I tried to add vocals and shut the amp off. For some reason my mic is very weak so I gave that up and went back to recording but I cant get any sound out of the monitors now while recording. I have no idea what went wrong. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry this is pretty late response, but are you still having the problem with the monitors?

Also, what kind of mic were you using?
