I appreciate your efforts but I don't think you understand the problem.

The CD INPUT is passed through the effects loop. The excerpt you found indeed says it goes to the power amp but in fact the schematics indicate otherwise - and Crate technical support confirmed this. When I use the CD INPUT as directed and have effects hooked in via the effect loop, any song that is playing is affected by whatever pedal(s) I have turned on.

The tech even tried to feed me a line of bull and tell me that I should not have pedals hooked into the effects loop. Regarsless of what is hooked up there, it affects the CD input. It's basically a useless feature if you want an effects loop also.
