Default I love Craigslist

Not really sure where to put this on the forum, but I just scored a like-new bottom loading road case for the VM for $100! Cheapest I have found them online or in stores around here is $189 + shipping (which is usually around $40), so I think I made out well having to drive 35 miles to get it. I feel safe shipping it now in the household good crates. I just need to find one for the Genz-Benz, but I think I'm going to have to have one ordered new, which is going to cost a bit more than I paid for this one...

Hi Chet Ubetcha,

it's really awesome, could I also get it in the same price?

I love to play this instrument too...

Thanks!

Well, I just happened to post on CL what I was looking for without really any hope of a hit, but someone mailed me about it shortly after. I got it local in Arkansas right before an international move, so I really wouldn't know anyplace for you to get one in the same price range. This was just a lucky score.

you got really lucky. 98% of what i see on c/l these days is...
priced in an unrealistic manner. i have made reasonable offers, and provided links to what the item is selling for other places both new and used.
it just makes them angry.

Yeah, like I said, I just got really lucky. I made a "want ad", per se. It actually came from a brick-and-mortar music storefront that sells 99% online.

We have a website similar to CL here called "Yardsales", and pretty much anything of value on it is wayyyy overpriced. Somebody has been trying to sell a used Gibson Explorer on it for $1400 since I got here two years ago. Someone wants $19,000 for an '03 Dodge Ram 1500 with over 100,000 miles on it. Crazy. If they can get it, more power to them. However, after nearly two years (at least what I've seen, it might be longer), I don't think they are going to sell it for their asking price...
