Elixirs are fantastic. I have a set on my home acoustic right now, and they sound amazing. They have lasted for such a long time, but they are a little to expensive for me. Now I just get two slinkys or D'addarios and use them to death first.

I use, Picked up 13 sets, I put one set on my guitar and the others I put in a ziplock bag with some silica dehumid pack that I have for my guitar cases in the summer. I figure that keeping humidity out of the package and the strings packages sealed they will probably be good for a couple years

String is most important part of each and every guitars. Due to strings we play different type of music. We have extra sets of string. I use the ErineBall titamium coated strings. Its best for music and voice.

Has anyone ever heard of storing them in the freezer? I googled and searched the threads, but could not find an answer. Tell me what you think. I may put one in the freezer, and keep one out and see which lasts/performs/sounds better. If you guys are interested I can post my results. Here is what I have come up with so far.

Pros
decreased humidity
decreased oxidation rate

Cons
structural changes

i put my extra packs of strings in that little compartment inside the case where some people put their weed. i notice the music store doesn't put them anywhere special. i'm sure they keep strings around alot longer than any of us might.
