In this two-hour DVD Jennifer Gamble will break down and explain in our easy to digest format the All Time Classic song Freebird By Lynyrd Skynyrd YOU CAN DO IT! When we say “full song lesson” we mean it – we teach ALL the song parts – intro, verses, rhythms, timing, strumming and strum patterns, embellishments, licks, and more.

The song is broken down and explained and demonstrated at slow speed and regular speed. We break each section into digestible parts and will get you playing and rocking out in the fastest and most efficient manner. If you are familiar with our teaching methods you know that we take songs sections one at a time and break them down into smaller sections, explaining every piece as we go along. Then we show you how to tie everything together. We also have close ups of the neck and fret hand to make the learning process even easier and more fun.

DVD Introduction – In this introduction Jennifer discusses the lesson format, the structure for the coming song lessons, and how to piece the song together in the fastest and most efficient manner. She talks briefly about instrumentation and sound for the song.

Verses – Here you will learn the main rhythm and chords used in all the verses of the song. Jennifer takes you through the progression with both wide and close-up camera angles. Jennifer breaks everything down at slow and regular speeds so you can first learn the rhythm, and then practice along and build up speed.

Solo Section Rhythm - In addition to learning the main rhythm for the song, you will be shown the rhythm guitar part which accompanies the guitar solo. Jennifer shows the rhythms and chords that are the driving force behind the solo. She shows the chords in a tight shot, with a close-up focus on the strumming and chucking techniques.

Slide Lead Guitar In this section you will learn to play the signature lead slide guitar part for the song intro. Jennifer will show you the notes, slide placement, and picking techniques. You will learn with up close shots of the neck and at slow and regular speeds. Once you learn these slide notes, you can build on them to develop your own slide improvisations!

Lead Guitar Solo Here you will learn many different guitar licks used in the solo section, and Jennifer goes over them in the order that they appear on the album. Each of these classic guitar licks are broken down and played at slow and regular speeds as well as demonstrated and explained with a tight shot of the neck. Jennifer also teaches what fingerings work best for fluidity and how to get from one lick to the next. There are so many fun and useful guitar licks in this great solo! Jennifer gives you the main signature licks from the solo to use as building blocks to your next great guitar jam!
