In this two-hour DVD Jennifer Gamble will break down and explain in our easy to digest format the Blues classic song 1 Bourbon 1 Scotch 1 Beer YOU CAN DO IT!When we say “full song lesson” we mean it – we teach ALL the song parts – intro, verses, rhythms, timing, strumming and strum patterns, embellishments, licks, and more.
The song is broken down and explained and demonstrated at slow speed and regular speed. We break each section into digestible parts and will get you playing and rocking out in the fastest and most efficient manner. If you are familiar with our teaching methods you know that we take songs sections one at a time and break them down into smaller sections, explaining every piece as we go along. Then we show you how to tie everything together. We also have close ups of the neck and fret hand to make the learning process even easier and more fun.

DVD Introduction – In this introduction Jennifer discusses the lesson format, the structure for the coming song lessons, and how to piece the song together in the fastest and most efficient manner. She also discusses the basic methodology behind playing the blues and how lessons learned in this video can be applied to other songs as well.
Main Rhythm – Here you will learn the main rhythm and chords used in all the verses of the song. Jennifer takes you through the progression with both wide and close-up camera angles. Jennifer breaks everything down at slow and regular speeds so you can first learn the rhythm, and then practice along and build up speed. She also shows you how to connect the verses to the chorus.
Alternative Rhythms - In addition to learning the main rhythm that drives the song, you will be shown some variations on that rhythm. Jennifer shows some more advanced rhythms that can be applied in the song with a close-up focus on the picking techniques, including timing, chucking, and muting. She explains that these rhythms can be used over chord variations as well as the main chord.
Chorus – In this section you will learn to play the chorus section of the song. Jennifer will show you the chords, the rhythm, and the fills in between. You will learn them both with up close shots of the neck and at slow and regular speeds. Jennifer also teaches how to get out of the chorus section and back into the verse of the song.
Licks and Fills – In this section you will learn several different guitar licks and fills that can be incorporated into the verses of the song or combined into a solo. Jennifer goes over in easily understandable pieces each lick as well as each lick is broken down and played at slow and regular speeds as well as demonstrated and explained with a tight shot of the neck. Jennifer also discusses the theory behind the solo and what scale and mode the lead is mainly taken from. Jennifer also teaches what fingerings work best for fluidity, and how to add these fills into your main rhythm � you will learn it all up close and personal.
Slide Lessons – Jennifer Breaks down how to use a slide to play Awesome blues licks. She makes it fun and simple to spice up your playing.
Bonus Lesson – David Taub explains some minor pentatonic scale techniques you can use in your playing
