In this two-hour DVD Jennifer Gamble will break down and explain in our easy to digest format the Rock classic Barracua By Heart. YOU CAN DO IT! When we say “full song lesson” we mean it – we teach ALL the song parts – intro, verses, rhythms, timing, strumming and strum patterns, embellishments, licks, and more.

The song is broken down and explained and demonstrated at slow speed and regular speed. We break each section into digestible parts and will get you playing and rocking out in the fastest and most efficient manner. If you are familiar with our teaching methods you know that we take songs sections one at a time and break them down into smaller sections, explaining every piece as we go along. Then we show you how to tie everything together. We also have close ups of the neck and fret hand to make the learning process even easier and more fun.

DVD Introduction – In this introduction Jennifer discusses the lesson format, the structure for the coming song lessons, and how to piece the song together in the fastest and most efficient manner. She talks briefly about instrumentation and sound for the song.

Natural Harmonics – Here you will learn to play this really cool guitar technique used in Barracuda. Jennifer will show you the notes, finger placement, and the harmonic techniques. You will learn with up close shots of the neck and at slow and regular speeds. Once you learn natural harmonics, you can build on them to develop your own guitar solo improvisations!

Basic Rhythm - In this section you will be shown the rhythm guitar part which makes up the driving force of the song Barracuda. Jennifer discusses the theory behind the power fifth chords and how they can be used to play the song. She shows the finger positions, strumming pattern, and variations on the power fifths. You will see the chords in a tight shot, with a close-up focus on the finger positions.

Verse - Here you will learn how to use the guitar to play the main melody of the song along with the lead vocal. Jennifer shows you the notes to play and how to sing along with your guitar. You will learn that this tracking technique will help you to develop your ear and improve your own song learning capabilities!

Chorus - In this section you will learn to play the chorus section of the song. Jennifer will show you the chords, the rhythm, and the fills in between. You will learn them both with up close shots of the neck and at slow and regular speeds. Jennifer also teaches how to get out of the chorus section and back into the verse of the song.

Lead Guitar Solo - In this section you will learn a signature lead guitar solo to incorporate into the song. Jennifer breaks down each piece of the solo and shows note-for-note how to play the pieces. Each of these guitar licks are broken down and played at slow and regular speeds as well as demonstrated and explained with a tight shot of the neck. Jennifer also teaches what fingerings work best for fluidity and how to get from one lick to the next.
