DVD Introduction – In this introduction Jennifer discusses the lesson format and the structure for the coming song lessons. She explains that the song will be broken down into sections: Song intro, guitar lead fills, verses, chorus, and the guitar solo, and that each section will be demonstrated slowly and up close.
Guitar Lead Fills – There are several distinguishable guitar lead fills that become main rhythm patterns for the song. You get multi-camera angles with all the riffs played at regular speed and slow speeds. The camera is then zoomed in for a tight shot, and Jennifer breaks down each riff and explains what notes and frets to play. She also shows you the best picking pattern for each riff. You see it all up close with a tight shot of the neck. It’s all explained in digestible pieces as per our easy and fast teaching methodology.
Verses - Here you will learn the rhythm and chords used in all the verses in the song. Jennifer breaks the verse down at slow and regular speeds and the chords also written in on screen text.
Chorus - In this section you will learn to play the chorus including chord changes. You get multi camera angles with the chorus played at regular speed and slow speeds. Jennifer shows in detail the rhythm pattern used in the chorus with a close shot on her right hand. You will see exactly which strings to play during a particular chord.
Guitar solo - In this section you will learn the guitar solo in the song. Jennifer will show which guitar riff of the song the solo is played over for context. She demonstrates each solo at regular speed, and then breaks down each solo bit-by-bit very slowly with a tight shot on the neck position. Jennifer also teaches what fingerings work best for fluidity, and how to piece the entire solo together – you will learn it all up close and personal.
